Private Off-Road Tours

  • Duration: Approximately 3.5–4 hours

  • Up to 5 guests per vehicle

  • All ages welcome

  • Binoculars and spotting scope provided

MEETING LOCATION

On the day of your tour, please meet your guide at the south end of the Yellowstone Regional Airport parking lot, near the Welcome to Wyoming sign in Cody, Wyoming.

Be prepared to travel for about 15 minutes to reach the Wild Horse Range. Please be aware it is OFF ROAD ON Dirt and two track roads. It does get HOT in the Summer time and you may want a Cooling towel, sunglasses, hat etc to keep comfortable.

It was just the four of us, which was nice, as we were able to ask questions and chat with Mel, who was an awesome tour guide, and gave us the history of the area as we drove through the scenic route. We were able to find a group of wild mustangs, and walked close enough to observe them really well with binoculars...it felt like we were right next to them. We walked around the entire group of mustangs which gave us plenty of time to observe them. Mel knew the names of each of the horses, and gave us unique info about their different histories. If we're ever back in this area, we'd definitely make another stop in Cody for another tour with Mel.”
