She took the time to find countless “goats” and two packs of ponies. She educated us by explaining history, BLM laws and trends of each species.  She also warned us about rattle snakes (and we were rewarded by finding one 5 feet from the tour vehicle.) “My husband and I, and our two friends took a trip to the Yellowstone area, and made sure we stopped in Cody for a Wild Mustang Tour...definitely a highlight of our trip! It was just the four of us, which was nice, as we were able to ask questions and chat with Mel, who was an awesome tour guide, and gave us the history of the area as we drove through the scenic route. We were able to find a group of wild mustangs, and walked close enough to observe them really well with binoculars...it felt like we were right next to them. We walked around the entire group of mustangs which gave us plenty of time to observe them. Mel knew the names of each of the horses, and gave us unique info about their different histories. If we're ever back in this area, we'd definitely make another stop in Cody for another tour with Mel.”
